A few years ago, I was experiencing psychiatric manifestations that were unexplainable. It became so bad that those episodes ultimately landed me in a psychiatric institution. I could not make sense of life and I could not understand what was going on.
Life was dark. Life had become unmanageable.
Little did I know, I was suffering from Chronic Lyme Disease, Mold toxicity, and did not even know it.
When I was finally diagnosed – after years of medical team after medical team telling me there was nothing wrong – I had a whole other set of health problems to deal with. Every day was a struggle and it seemed that each day was a discovery of a new condition.
Chronic fatigue… Immense pain in my bones… Brain fog… The list went on.
One of the biggest developments was a sensitivity to foods and chemicals. I could not have any chemical products at home or use them for fear that it would affect my health, especially my nervous system. I noticed that I was reacting to regular cleaning products like bleach and scents like colognes, air fresheners, etc. I always enjoyed scents, so it pained me to have to get rid of all things that caused me to react. But I wanted a solution.
It was then that I took it upon myself to find a way to enjoy scents without the negative reaction. After doing some research, I started to make sprays for scent, cleaning products, and sanitizers in the middle of the pandemic.
I had been experimenting with essential oils that would encourage relaxation and help with some of the psychiatric symptoms I was experiencing. It hit me one day while I was washing dishes that I should take what I have learned and show others. I was afraid because I knew nothing about business.
I knew that voice was my intuition (God) and so I walked through the fear and decided to start creating aromatherapy products and introduce them to my community. I began by doing pop-ups at my aunt’s salon and the rest was history.
Today I can help a multitude of people and I have been so blessed to work with a community that is looking to gain some more time on this beautiful earth.
